Volunteer Spots sign-ups can move slowly, so plan accordingly.
A) VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT (MANDATORY):
Sign-up for Volunteer Spots at In-Person Registration
- 7-SPOTS: Each family must sign up for a minimum of SEVEN (7) service spots. While swimmers are only required to swim in a minimum of 2 meets, every home meet requires 70 volunteers to run. So, adult assistance from every family is absolutely necessary.
C) HANDBOOKS
Cover Art:
- There will be an Artwork Station at Registration, swimmers are encouraged to submit artwork to be considered for our Handbook Cover. If you don’t finish in time to submit before you leave registration, email a .jpg or .PDF to Lisa Redmond. All submissions are due by 6pm Sunday April 12.
ADS: Parent Ads & Sponsorships:
- FAMILIES: Consider buying an ad in the handbook to cheer on your swimmers or recognize a group of Cat-Family-Friends! These "Swimmer-Shout Outs" are called ads, but they're created by you, with your picture(s) and wording. Here are the sizes and prices:
- Full page (fits inside 6.5” X 9.5” box) $125
- 1/2 page (fits inside 4.5” X 6.5” box or 9.5” X 3.25” box) $75

- 1/8 page (fits inside 2.25” X 3.25” box - size of a regular business card) $35
- SPONSORS: Know any businesses or families interested in sponsoring the team? Tell them about the opportunity using the Sponsorship Info Sheet.
Sponsorships and Handbook Ads help us cover expenses and fund scholarships.
A check made out to NBST or Nassau Bay Swim Team (not Nauticats) is the preferred method of payment.
The submission deadline is Friday, April 30, 2026.
Email Lisa Redmond your Family-Handbook-Ad as a .jpeg, PDF, or even a Word doc.
Contact Amy Cheeseman if you can help secure a Sponsorship.
D) SWIMSUITS & MERCHANDISE:
Teamcaps: If your child wears a cap to swim, they will need a Team Cap for meets.
Team suits: are not required; a solid, black or blue, one-piece suit will suffice. If you pre-ordered a suit or are interested in buying a new suit, Kate, from Texas Swim Shop, will be at Registration from 10-1pm for suit sizing. Please plan to bring your swimmer(s) with you for this process, and plan to wear another suit underneath for hygiene purposes during the try-on process.
If your swimmer is unavailable for sizing, you will need to contact Texas Swim Shop directly after our In-person Registration Event for guidance on sizing and to place your order. For pre-orders we'll have already submitted payment to the shop, so you'll just need to provide the size you would like.

The Nassau Bay Nauticats Swim Team awards a Graduation Scholarship to our graduating seniors based on certain criteria. Much of that criteria happens during the high school years. The usual baseline age for this group is 5yrs.
